Research Program Summary
Many secrets of plant evolution can be found in their DNA sequences. I study two classes of sequences found in native Rhododendron called Gypsy and Copia. Another aspect of my research is looking at fungi that live symbiotically in these same plants. Surprisingly, many species of fungi live within their bright green leaves.
