Summary of Research Interests
I studied phytosterols in phytoplankton to determine "ideal" foods for oysters in culture. In the process I detected and identified five new dihydroxysterols in the plankton order Pavlovales.
Other Activities
I am a stained glass artist doing custom work in windows, lamps, tables, and also restoration of church windows. I call it "functional art". I have put three children through college and traveled throughout the Country with my art.
I am also a Creative Memories Senior Consultant and help people organize their photos from under their bed and show off cherished photos into quick-and-easy slip-in albums or decorative scrapbook albums or help them organize hundreds of digital photos on their computers and get them printed into hard-bound photobooks. If people have artwork, special prints or memorabilia, I can help them custom frame it to enjoy on their walls every day.
